Home page The Future Over the next decade our woodland management plan will transform Lionthorn Woods from a commercial plantation focused on Sitka Spruce and Scots Pine to a diverse woodland with a wide mix of tree species providing important habitat for wildlife. Lionthorn Community Wood is Lionthorn Community Wood is on the Southern edge of Falkirk. The Association represents local people who use the Woods. We also work with the landowner, Callendar Estate, to enhance the environment of the Woods for wildlife. We organise social events, work days and educational events for members and the local community. Membership is free and allows us to keep you informed about events by email.
